Making What Already
Exists More Visible
Marichyai selects objects that carry a clear relationship between material, place and authorship. We present each work with context and clear credit, helping it enter new markets and everyday lives while keeping its origin visible.

Marichyai
Everyday Objects, Living Traditions
Marichyai is a culture and commerce platform rooted in the humanistic traditions of Tibetan plateau and Himalayan regions.
We work with independent brands, craftspeople, designers and local workshops to bring thoughtfully made objects into contemporary life. Our selection includes jewelry, textiles, pottery, clothing and objects for the home—pieces created for wearing, carrying, gathering and everyday use.
Each object begins with something tangible: a material, a function, a place and the hands that made it. Through these details, a wider story can be understood.
What We Do
Marichyai connects makers with people who value well-made objects and the relationships behind them.
We discover and select products from independent partners, present accurate information about their materials and uses, and introduce the people, knowledge and environments connected to their making.
We do not replace the identities of the brands and makers we work with. Their names, voices and authorship remain visible. Marichyai serves as a curator, retailer and storytelling partner—creating a respectful connection between the people who make each object and the people who bring it into their lives.
Objects Made to Be Lived With
We believe cultural continuity is strongest when objects remain part of life.
A hand-formed black pottery vessel can hold flowers, coffee or incense. A yak-fiber scarf can offer warmth through changing seasons. A turquoise earring can become part of someone’s everyday way of dressing.
These objects do not need to be separated from daily life in order to carry meaning. Their value can be found in their materials, usefulness and the attention with which they were made—and in the relationships they continue to create through use.
For this reason, we begin with clear product facts: what an object is, what it is made from, how it was made, how it can be used and how it should be cared for. Its cultural and human context adds depth without replacing the object itself.
Our Approach
Our work is guided by five principles:
Respect
We respect the identities, knowledge and choices of the people and communities connected to each object.
Authenticity
We communicate through verifiable facts, specific materials and real people rather than generalized cultural imagery.
Connection
We see commerce as a way to build meaningful relationships among makers, objects, places and users.
Long-Term Commitment
We value partnerships that can develop over time, supporting continuity rather than short-lived attention.
Contemporary Relevance
We believe tradition remains active when people continue to use, adapt and create from it in the present.
Our Role
Marichyai does not claim to speak for Tibetan culture, nor do we present it as a single, fixed idea.
The regions and communities we work with contain many histories, experiences and ways of making. Our responsibility is to remain clear about the source of each object, keep its creators visible and avoid reducing living cultures to decoration, symbolism or spectacle.
We are here to listen, learn and connect—to create space for original brands and makers to meet a wider audience while retaining their own identities.
A More Considered Relationship with Things
In a world of quickly produced and quickly replaced goods, Marichyai offers another way of relating to the things we choose.
We invite you to look closely at materials, understand how an object was made, learn who made it and allow it to become part of your own life over time.
Through everyday use, care and exchange, an object can connect us more closely with the natural world, with the people who make what we use, and with one another.
Welcome to Marichyai.
